If you are reading this, it means you have successfully installed or upgraded Basilisk. Welcome!

Basilisk is actively developed desktop browser software. While it is considered stable for everyday use, you may occasionally encounter bugs or unexpected behavior.

Important: profile location change

The vendor name for Basilisk has changed as part of the transition to independent development. As a result, existing profiles from older releases may not be detected automatically.

If your bookmarks, settings, or extensions did not carry over after updating, you can migrate your existing profile manually:

Windows

%APPDATA%\Moonchild Productions\Basilisk
→
%APPDATA%\Basilisk-Dev\Basilisk

Linux

$HOME/.moonchildproductions/basilisk
→
$HOME/.basilisk-dev/basilisk

After copying the profile directory, restart Basilisk.
